The Jonathan Alder and London school districts, in partnership with Bridges, will team up to fight hunger the week of September 30th through October 4th.
The "Battle of the Cans" will coincide with the annual Battle of 42 football game between the Pioneers and Red Raiders, which is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4, at Performance Stadium in Plain City.
Students will be able to drop off non perishable food items to their school starting on September 30th. Community members will be able to drop items off at Village or City Hall. Additionally, tables will be setup at the game for fans to participate.
Bridges of Madison County will tally the results and the winner will be announced at halftime of the football game.
