Dear Alder Students and Families:
I would like to welcome all of our students and families back for the 2024-2025 school year. As Superintendent, I couldn’t be more enthusiastic and motivated about the work that has taken place over the summer months in preparation for our students. Our building leaders, teachers, and all staff are ready for an outstanding start to the 2024-2025 school year.
Everyone should have received information regarding our Back to School Hub earlier this month. Any questions relating to anything on this page can be directed to your building principal, the Teaching and Learning Department or my office at any time. Those new to the district, we welcome you to the Alder Family. If you have not yet downloaded our new “JA Local” app from the App Store, please do so sooner rather than later for instant notifications and or alerts from the district.
We are excited to announce and roll out a new Transportation Communications Tool, called Transfinder, in partnership with Stopfinder, an all-in-one, easy to use app for viewing and sharing a student's transportation schedule. Since this email is not coming directly from JA Schools, please check your SPAM folders for the registration invitation email. If you received email(s) concerning your child’s bus information but they are not a bus rider, please disregard the email. Those who are still setting up the app and multiple parameters that come with it, please use this video for technical support for safely monitoring your child’s arrivals and departures to and from school.
During the 2023-2024 school year, our district emphasized the importance of Elevating our work and practices. This year, we aim to build on that focus by enhancing our efforts to better serve and engage our Jonathan Alder families.
