The Jonathan Alder Board of Education conducted an Organizational and regular monthly meeting on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Highlights from the Organizational Meeting included the elections of president and vice-president for the 2025 calendar year, as well as the scheduling of the Board's regular meeting dates for 2025. Mrs. Walker will serve as Board President for the second consecutive year, while Mrs. Detweiler was elected as Vice-President. In terms of monthly meetings, the Board approved to move them to the second Tuesday of each month, except for June and July. For a full listing of the 2025 regular meeting dates, click the link here.
District Treasurer/CFO Mr. Ingles provided a financial update to begin the regular meeting, with Superintendent Dr. Miller following with his report, which he encouraged the community to join the district in celebrating School Board Recognition Month in January.
in addition to normal personnel consent items, Mr. Ingles had a 5-year contract, starting in August 2026, approved by the Board to remain as the district's treasurer. The Board also approved a resolution to proceed with a May 2025 Bond Issue.
