The Jonathan Alder Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting on Monday, September 9, 2024, in the high school library. The meeting opened with commendations, as Tia Rutherford, District Nurse, was recognized with the "Excellence in Action" staff recognition award. Spring 2024 athletes who received state-level awards or participated at the OHSAA state championships were also recognized.
SHP, the architect, designers and engineering company that is partnered with the district, then presented an update on the Master Facility Planning process. Superintendent Dr. Miller and Board Member Bill McCartney each provided updates on the district and Tolles Career & Technical Center, respectively.
The Board also approved several Treasurer, personnel, old business, and new business items before closing with an informational discussion with the Madison County Economic Development group.
