The Ohio Department of Education & Workforce informed the Jonathan Alder High School and District administrators Thursday morning (April 11, 2024) of its status as a Purple Star School.
The Purple Star award signifies the high school's commitment to serving military families within the district. The Purple Star Advisory Board for Ohio establishes criteria for schools and districts to meet and designation is valid for three years.
